Open Minds Flirts with Top 100 on Amazon

Thanks to an ad on the amazing Pixel of Ink (Kindle subscription service), as well as a brief price-drop to 99cents, Open Minds had a crazy awesome sales day yesterday. For some time, steady sales of Open Minds have kept it flirting with the top 100 in Amazon bestseller lists like Young Adult Action and Adventure, Adult Science Fiction, and my favorite (and difficult to reach) Young Adult Science Fiction & Fantasy. Yesterday's POI ad rocketed Open Minds to the number three position on that list:

Yes, I beat out Mockingjay. My life is now complete. (I'm only partially kidding.)

And for a brief, shining moment, Open Minds was in the top 100 of ALL BOOKS ON AMAZON. Sadly, it was at 4 am, so I was pretending to sleep at that point and missed the screen capture. Fortunately, Kindle Tracker did it for me:

This morning, Open Minds is still lingering near the top 100:

Although I'm sure that will fade as the effect of the ad fades. But the most important thing is that hundreds of new readers now have Open Minds on their Kindles. Hopefully they will actually read the book at some point, like it, decide to tell their friends and review on Amazon, and maybe even come back for Closed Hearts when it comes out.
